Hoping to crowd source knowledge about access to BA lounges for a guest.
I’m flying with my two teenage children in business class from Gatwick South terminal to orlando in october on Avios flights. My mum is also coming with us, but unless any miracle reward availability crops up in these last few days, then she will be flying premium economy on the same flights. (Seatspy alert on!)
My question is, can I take my mum as a guest into a BA lounge? There seems to be conflicting info online. I do also have a priority pass through my Platinum Amex.
Unfortunately my BA status has dropped back to blue as I’ve only been flying reward flights, so no privilege through that route.
Any advice /experience much appreciated.
You can only guest people into BA lounges if you’re BA Silver or Gold. IIRC, you can guest one person into a PP lounge with your Plat Amex, though if you got your mum a supplementary card this would be one each. It’s subject to space, though, I don’t know how busy it will be at half term.
Or your teenagers could go in the BA lounge and you and mum in the other one (just saying …)
Don’t forget the PP £15 to spend at the Grain Store restaurant too. In the past if your card entitled you to a free guest they were happy to put it through as £30 too…even if on your own.
