BA premium pls card companion voucher

I have earned my companion voucher with my BA Premium puls card and I thought I could use it for a first class flight but now it seems I can only use it for business class or lower. Does anyone know if this correct please? Also, are business class and club class the same thing? Thanks

You can use it for First Class redemptions. The issue is that BA doesn’t guarantee releasing any First Class seats for redemption.

I suggest looking at somewhere like MEX where First redemption have been relatively more available.

And yes business class and club class are the same thing. Club is BA’s term for business class.

There’s usually a sprinkling of F seats to JFK/BOS/ATL/IAD etc if you want to visit (or transit) the US, plus the odd few going east. You have to keep searching though, as there’s no fixed pattern for releasing them, or subscribe to SeatSpy and set up an alert (though it’s not 100% accurate!)
