Trying to set up conversion of Nectar points to BA. Nectar is asking to connect my BA account to my Nectar account, but the BA login page it presents doesn’t accept my BA login details (which work fine when logging into BA). Any ideas?

This was a real pain for me. This thread shows the saga.

I had to change my BA email address in the end. BA and Nectar were no help at all. Others have had this problem and some didn’t have such a drama to fix it. Hope it works out for you.

    Urgh. Thanks (I think) 🙂

So trying to do it the other way from this page: https://exchange.shopping.ba.com/partner/nectar

    I get this message:

I managed to get my points converted today, if you have the email issue you can alternatively log in with your BA exec number instead of the email address. This worked relatively smoothly for me after a few SMS text verifications. This method will save you changing your email address on your BAEC

Yes, I tried every portal, Nectar.com, BA.com, Nectar app etc etc to try and convert. The login details always worked perfectly when logging into a normal BA portal just anything connected with nectar just failed. Gotta love the 403 error!
    Good luck

You can’t access Nectar from outside the UK IIRC, this would include using a computer in the UK if it routed via a non-UK network.

You can access nectar from outside the UK as long as you logged in with a UK VPN/UK SIM data connection first – the login cookies seem to last for months and app also worked. But if you need to log in again to set up the avios thing then yes you won’t be able to do that without connecting from a UK IP.

OK so this was the solution for me. Used my BA exec number instead of email address and everything went smoothly.

    Thanks @JFCMan

Are Avios to Nectar transfers taking 10 days again? I transferred at the weekend but no sign of the Nectar points yet.

    Unfortunately, yes.
