Travelling CW on the A350 next year with my wife and son (under 2). Where would be the best location to sit? I’ve booked 15E and 15F (two middle seats at the front of the smaller CW cabin), but the two window seats in this mini cabin have a baby change image in front of them. Am I better opting for one of these and splitting us between the aisle?

I think the baby change just means bassinet available for that seat?

yes it’s a bassinet sign not a baby change table. Please do that in the toilets!

Can’t help with the mechanics of bassinets and baby changing, but as a more general principle I’d say if you wish to both be involved in parenting then you are definitely best off both having access to the same aisle. Sitting “together” in the middle seats in CW is a lot like sitting in different buildings talking to each other through the window; if you are on different aisles then whoever is not with the child would have to do a full lap of the cabin or head through the galley to reach the others.
One thing to bear in mind is that the A350 rear cabin has quite a stagger on the seats, so same row number aisle vs middle seats are not really next to each other or even on the same row at all. You can see that issue fairly well on this photo (which is actually 15A, with 16A behind, and 15E I think, although someone Avgeeky will correct me if I’m wrong – it also sort of shows the baby/bassinet/whatever-it-is area although you can’t see much).

    null

The bigger forward cabin has a much less severe stagger – if you do want to sit genuinely next to each other but across the aisle, and you are not after a bassinet then the bigger cabin may in fact be better. You’ll have to balance this yourself against the benefits of a smaller cabin; although in an all suite config the cabin size feels less of an issue IMO.

Sorry if that makes things more complicated 😀

We did both window seats in front of each other with 10 month old, no complaints at all.
