British airways Amex PP upgrade bonus

I downgraded to the free BA blue card a while ago after triggering the 241.
If I wanted to upgrade back to black card, is there any chance of a spend bonus upgrade or would it be a waste of time asking Amex this?

Waste of time, need to have gone 24 months without to get a spend bonus.
An exception to this would be if you held the BAPP and told Amex you were thinking of cancelling, they may offer a spend bonus to retain you. Unlikely to offer similar for the free BA card though.
