-
Hi all,
I’ve just been accepted for the Business Platinum Card which will run alongside my personal Platinum Card. I’ve also had an e-mail to the works e-mail from Priority Pass, to welcome me to their club.
As a PP member already via my personal card, does using the Business PP membership at the same time allow me to guest extra people into a lounge (should the need arise)? My parents already have the supplementary card and have used this a few times for lounges, I just wondered if this ‘new’ PP membership would give me anything more?
Also the trial for 4 x pre booking slots – would this be live on the Business Plat? I’ve already booked successfully using 2 of the 4 on my Personal, does the Business Plat PP come with the same benefit? I did read somewhere, probably here, that it was a trial for a limited period.
Finally as an aside, will Amex give me an invoice of some description for the cost of the card that I can use for my books? Or is it simply a case of putting the statement page with the cost of card in for submission?
Thanks in advance!
Having two or more cards that each allow you access to a lounge doesn’t give you extra guests as you can only enter the lounge once with the specified number guests for that one card.
Can you not, take 4x including yourself into lounge with Plat. Then go back and bring another 4x with Biz Plat? Sounds plausible.

Well @zapato1060 of course if someone wishes to scam, cheat, blag or whatever their way into these hallowed lounges I’m sure there are lots of ways. Why you might wish to endorse or encourage such conduct, who knows. Apart from the basic dodginess, it seems incredibly anti-social when so many entirely legitimate passengers can’t get into the lounges because they are full. If one has any standards why lower them for a manky lounge? You might as well be hanged for a sheep as a lamb.
Scam, cheat, blag would conform to people that avoid cash advance fees by fronting BC 😀 Stodgy food and terrible lounges aside, its a perk the person has paid for paying for both Plats.

So should that same person with two Platinum cards get double upgrades for the hotel loyalty benefits? Should they get a double F&B credit on FHR bookings? Or perhaps double MR points for every £ spent or all mutual offers on the cards combined. A credit card is nominal/registered not bearer like some lounge access voucher. Having two cards doesn’t buy two entries. You are only entitled to enter as you once, to do so twice or to give your other card to someone else is defrauding Amex. Thank you though for your help in overcrowding lounges and adding to the costs we all suffer from card abuse.
