Never having been there the hotels always seemed to be good cash value instead of points.
Slightly OT but I would be interested to know what peoples feedback is for the 5 hour flight on BA CE. Not sure if Egypt air has lie flat? Prices are the same for most dates.Egyptair has a 787 with lie flat on one of the two dailies between LHR and CAI.
Looks like the reverse herringbone setup on Qatar, pre Q Suites.I’ll go back to my crypt now.
Not sure what Egypt Air offer but the BA avios cost is staggering for CE to Egypt. BA charge the same to TLV and they fly widebody aircraft with proper business class, as do VS.
It really is a disgusting price IMO.
Fortunately I managed to finally find a use for a Barclays voucher.

I’m voting with my feet, and avoiding BA to Egypt until the price is fairer for the product, or they start flying widebody aircraft.
We paid 55k Avios + the Barclays voucher + £180 for two one way in CE. Didn’t feel like good value, but Egyptair was coming back at a lot more than BA when booked in February.
