Cancelling an Avios with CV booking

Simple question really. If I cancel an Avios flight how long does it take for the Avios and CV to show up in my BAEC account again?

Usually instant, or within a few minutes (sometimes you need to log out/ log in to see it). Cash element follows a week or so later.

If the booking is complex or has been changed and there is a manual element to processing the refund it can be a couple of weeks. This is usually the situation if it doesn’t show the refund amounts on the cancellation screen.

I just cancelled a 241 booking expecting the Avios and CV to reappear immediately so I could grab some different dates, but unfortunately they haven’t reappeared. I didn’t see a refund amount during cancellation which I thought was odd, since usually I do. However, I now realise that I’d previously done a date change on this booking, so assume that is why it’s not been an immediate refund. Now I have to wait, and potentially risk loosing the different dates I wanted 🙁
