My parents were supposed to be travelling with me to Malaga in a couple of weeks but my dad has had to have an operation to remove his bladder and he won’t be well enough to go. I know they can claim on the insurance but the excess means it’s not worthwhile. Would BA be amenable to issuing a voucher or changing the flight to next year?
I would ask but their queues are huge on the phones at the moment!
Thanks
Phone BA and ask them. I think they may be amenable to moving the booking to a later date. It may be subject to paying any change in fares. They may require proof of the operation.
Unfortunately you’ll have to phone and ask. If you can get some evidence of your father’s condition they might be willing to move the flights, but there’s no guarantee. It’s definitely worth asking (when you have some time free to sit on the phone) though.
