My Year end has just passed , so I am npw awaiting the Tier Point Adjustment: 1 April 2024 to 8 September 2024 where any Tier Points earned in this period are counted.

How longs does this take to show up in the account online?

You would have got an email last month telling you of the process.

Usually it happens 14 days after the collection year end date.

This is the paragraph from the email:

“This is a shorter time for you to collect Tier Points, so we’ll add a Tier Point Adjustment to your account, consisting of any Tier Points earnt from 1 April 2024 to 8 September 2024. This Tier Point Adjustment will be added within 14 days of 8 September 2024 and the Tier status earned will remain until 30 April 2026.”

My tier collection year ended yesterday also.

I currently have 490 points and am waiting for an additional 110 to be added via the double tier point holiday offer. Apparently they will be added within 14 business days and I will automatically be made silver.

My tier point year then ends on 31/03/25 like everyone else.

    Between 01/04/24 and 08/09/24 I earned 420 points.

So am I correct in thinking if I don’t earn anymore points between now and 31/03/25 I will drop to bronze? Or will I keep my silver status until 30/04/26?

    Thanks in advance.

If your total for 01/04/2024 to 31/03/2025 is 420 then yes, you will drop to Bronze in April.

    This https://www.headforpoints.com/2024/02/06/british-airways-tier-point-collection-year-changes-affect-you/ is very helpful.

Thank you. The salient point for me is :-

Any status earned or renewed during this period will be valid until 31st October 2025

I have a few fights booked and planned before then for which I wanted to enjoy the benefits of silver membership. I thought we’d been short changed with the changes, but I was wrong. Thankfully!

I assume this will also take in to account the tier points earned through the AMEX promotion?

It does, they are included in the calculation for the ‘reset bonus’ tier points.

my year ran out on the 8th sept and my tier points have been automatically deleted. even the ones collected since April. I flew on the 8th and that would have taken me to silver. However BA are saying they will look at it but can’t guarantee that i will! Not sure where to go with this, Currently on holiday for 2 weeks and was hoping that in a few days i could book my seats once i reached silver and access the lounge on the way back. i thought getting status was meant to make you feel valued! 😂

Patience is a virtue its wonders to behold.

For a flight taken on the 8th the TPs
won’t even post until tomorrow morning at the earliest and then they will still credit to your old year.

Call centre staff won’t commit to anything re TPa posting and to be honest calling was just a waste of everyone’s times.

As has been posted several times and the email you would have received last month any points earned after 1st April won’t be reposted for another couple of weeks for the new TP earning system.
