Liquids limit officially raised to 2l at Edinburgh (and I believe Birmingham). Metal containers e.g refillable water bottles must however be empty

    Edit: indeed B’ham airport confirms

And LHR T5, except the lanes without the new scanners.

@PeteM – don’t think they have officially announced as yet – its in operation at T5 First Wing and T2 Gold to my knowledge, but not yet universal

Yesterday’s EZY2462 LIS- LTN was delayed 2+ hours, blamed on ATC restrictions due to thunderstorms on the outgoing flight, delaying the return. Is that extraordinary circumstances as they claim?

Lots of disruption yesterday with weather, so yes extraordinary circumstances

Thanks, I wasn’t sure if a delay to a previous flight could be classed as extraordinary circumstance for the following flight, I thought it may be considered a positioning problem that the airline would be liable for.

    Hi all,

1/Are water sports (snorkelling, jet ski, scuba diving as in PADI Open Water Diver course) covered by Amex Platinum insurance?

2/How bad are security times at Gatwick North now, ie in July? Does Fast track really provide a time-saving?

I’m saving my clubcard vouchers for a hotels.com booking next year but I have a few small (c£5) ones about to expire so I’m trying to work out the best way to spend a small amount of each one so that the rest rolls over and I can use it for next years booking. I could convert £1.50 of each into Virgin miles but I’m not really collecting those any more and I don’t really want to go in-store and buy a packet of Maltesers with each one. Has anyone found any great uses for small amounts ?

Not officially briefed externally, but the staff have been told.

    Manchester airport….

Landed in T2 today at 1319. Hand baggage only. Had a separate ticket from T3.

Couldn’t use flight transfers because we had to check in a bag with Loganair measuring 55x40x20cm.

We walked from the plane at A7 (I think), through T2 arrivals corridor to the border queue, then skylinks to the station and to T1, followed by the walk to T3, queue for security, then got turned away from the T3 lounge, queue for Boots, finally find a seat near gate 47 at 1530.

Yes, an airline can claim ‘extraordinary circumstances’ for up to three rotations back and in any event you refer to a delay of 2 hours + when you need over three hours for any compensation.

Received an email about the Hilton $150 credit per day at luxury hotels…

..thought I’d look at Seattle where we are spending a couple of nights pre-cruise in Sept.

    LRM Exclusive Credit rate… $597/night
    Flexible business rate… $482/night ($463 non refundable)

So their $150 per night is really $35 (and you have to use it all, which probably means eating in)

That’s a no thanks, thank you
