Some interesting quirks in BA pricing new website vs old website at the moment.
Dubai Premium in the first half of March 2026:
New website, around £900 return as it has been for a few weeks.
Old website, consistently reachable via the Low Fare Finder https://www.britishairways.com/travel/low-price-finder/public/en_gb, less than £600 return on various dates.
Haven’t noticed any difference in Club prices.
Sitting in the new lounge at Edinburgh airport.
It’s a big improvement on the aspire lounge that it replaced.
Good morning from the Hyatt Centric in Malta (St Julian’s).
Nice, new hotel, I stuck a slightly longer summary in the Hyatt forum should you wish to review.
Just about to head off to the Blue Lagoon again, lovely day for it….! 🫣
Morning all.
Please could someone tell me I wish to book 4 people on the same flight, two in CE and two in ET does this have to be done as two separate bookings, if I wish to do it on-line. I’m assuming 2 separate booking so two PNR’s?
A very good morning- I completed my 2 year Amex fallow period last month, just after the enhanced offer for the MR gold SUB ended. I was resigned to the lower amount but using OH’s referral link earlier I found I was eligible for a separate enhanced offer of 35k points, so it’s worth checking if you’re considering applying. I took screenshots at each stage!
After being rejected for being a pensioner previously (despite that being my main income), I put my very small amount of part-time work as my main occupation and was accepted immediately, which might also be worth bearing in mind.
With it being 1st July, was just about to order something from Harvey Nichols to take advantage of the £50 on Amex platinum, went to double check its in my offers tab, and it’s no longer showing as an offer on my platinum card.
Things must be doing good for BA/IAG- some EDI-Lon prices are in four figures, and there’s almost no award availability to the Far East or South America on BA or Iberia. A million Avios in the family account and nowhere to spend them!
Why bother wasting money on IT when you are so busy, despite the web sites being so cr@p!
I think that might be the end of 241s for me – £300 on card fee + Seat Spy sub, and struggling with BA IT just to try and log in to find availability. (Let’s not mention Iberia’s web page!) And cash prices coming down so that standard avios redemptions on many Qatar routes (at 1p per avios) are dearer than cash fares on quirky routes ex-Milan etc.
Even using Avios on short-haul makes little financial sense if you are in Scotland (although it does help – especially to avoid 6am lo-co flights, with a bonus night with pals in London). It’s why we’ll keep a free Avios Barclaycard each.
Yes – I’ve had a frustrating morning!

We were in yesterday morning. It was quiet. Breakfast better than BA next door
I’m wondering if there’s any whipsers about Loganair repeating the 50% Avios off redemtions ?
I’m loking at a Loganair flight in DecemberYes will be 2 bookings.
Thank you @NorthernLass need to keep them separate as two of us are certain, but the other two may flake out on us due to work commitments that could crop up etc.

The only thing I’d say about the new lounge is, due to the furniture and the fixtures and fittings, it will get dirty and show up the dirt very quickly, and look grubby soon if not kept on top off

It did not renew
Just to re-reconfirm!
I HAVE to book a 241 inbound before flying the outbound, right?
But I could just book an appropriate return flight (open jaw, in my case) and
later on change the date if needed, paying the GBP35?Did Amex renew the Harvey Nicole’s credit or announce a replacement?

I told you months ago it was going to be scrapped – anyone who believed the Amex call centre who were telling people otherwise really should know better!
It HAS been replaced – with the £400 dining credit, up from £300 last year.

Yes but let me spend it as 2 x £200 rather than 4x£100s
Alas behind a paywall but interesting news of a CEO parting with nearly 1.83million Amex points to pay off a $11,000 tax bill. Not sure if that constitutes good value or not but as an alternative to spending time behind bars……
@Michael – yes that will work, and you have 12 months to take the inbound leg so you have plenty of flexibility.

Ended – only worked first half of the year
I’ve cancelled my Platinum – difficult to use overseas restaurant credit, no HN now, and a pre-existing condition means Travel insurance no good. Hilton gold was good…so have just applied for their Plus debit card
Oh look, there’s another IHG 100% points offer…..😁
Hi, anyone else struggling with searches on ba.com using 241 voucher ? Getting loads of instances of the month to view calendar showing dates with 2xJ available but them not showing up when clicking to search those dates. E.g. supposedly quite a lot of dates with 2xJ LHR-SYD in Feb and March 2026, but no flights shown when clicking through. Also lots of “error – please try later” when searching other popular routes: HKG, HND….
Apologies if there’s a BA forum thread already dedicated to this but couldn’t see anything active recently.
I think, like many others, I will soon be at the end of my Avios journey. 500k to burn and then it’s over. Too much work battling deliberately sh*tty IT looking for needles in haystacks, for anyone able to earn serious £ from their time…

Sorry you feel like that but I’m still getting great value from Avios. Excellent value redemptions to St Lucia and Malta booked for 2026 already. Maybe because we’re retired we don’t see these kind of issues. More availability for us though!

Thanks, Anna! Hope el peke came out happy from his exams!
