Codeshare flight delay

I’m currently stuck at Doha on my way to London from Colombo due to a “technical fault” with the aircraft. Looks like the delay will exceed 4 hours.

I bought the ticket from BA website and the ticket was issued under BA flight numbers for both flights (CMB-DOH and DOH-LHR). Ticket code is 125 (BA) but the metal for both legs are QR.

In this case, is there an eligibility for compensation under UK261?

You are on a non EU-UK airline flying from outside the EU-UK. Compensation does not apply.

You can check the local regulation see what your right are.
