Though I would ask for your collective help. I have an expiring old style 241 voucher I would like to try and use. Ends May 2023, ideally want to use at back end of April hols, around 12th to 16th April for 1 adult and 2 young teens. Thinking city break sort of trip.
Old voucher means have to fly from Heathrow.
Please throw your suggestions at me. Had looked at Gibralter and Seville as have a mate in RAF out there, but no avios availability.
You are pretty limited according to Seatspy.
Searching one day either side of these dates gets you the following, more than half of which involves at least one leg in Club.
The ones that would grab me? Probably Copenhagen and Vienna (subject to weather). But mainly Vienna. Sofia gets a lot of love here but partly because it’s cheap for cash fares!

Amsterdam Airport Schiphol (AMS)
Belfast (BFS)
Billund Airport (BLL)
Brussels Airport (BRU)
Copenhagen Kastrup Airport (CPH)
Dublin Airport (DUB)
Edinburgh Airport (EDI)
Frankfurt am Main Airport (FRA)
Glasgow (GLA)
Gothenburg-Landvetter Airport (GOT)
Hamburg Airport (HAM)
Hannover Airport (HAJ)
Ibiza Airport (IBZ)
Jersey Airport (JER)
Manchester (MAN)
Newcastle Airport (NCL)
Oslo Gardermoen Airport (OSL)
Pisa International Airport (PSA)
Rotterdam The Hague Airport (RTM)
Sofia Airport (SOF)
Stockholm (STO)
Stuttgart Airport (STR)
Vienna International Airport (VIE)
Warsaw Chopin Airport (WAW)
Zürich Airport (ZRH)
That’s a pretty inspiring list and an extremely helpful reply from Froggee!
Pisa will be warmish, interesting, with easy trains to Lucca, Florence, Viareggio etc too, and the food will be good. It gets my vote.
Amsterdam, Dublin, Warsaw, all have lots to interest teens.
Could be a bit too cold for the Scandi destinations at that stage?
Faced exactly the same problem a week ago and booked Istanbul for a city break in May. Limited rewards flight availability in Club Europe and 241 voucher expiring soon did make it difficult. Seatspy world map is a pretty good tool – used a free 2-week trial membership to search.
Maybe choose your own Top 3 as regards flights/convenience, then let the kids choose?
Hamburg has Miniatur.
Stockholm was a real surprise for us a few months ago, with our pre-teen saying it was one of our best-ever city breaks. Into Stockholm, out of Copenhagen, with a bit of The Bridge and Tivoli?!
Having said all that, as the others have mentioned, Pisa/Lucca really is fabulous – and only an hour by train from Florence.
How about doing outbound to GIB and inbound from AGP? There is availability which might well fit in with your dates (I am using an old expiring 241 to GIB at Easter!) You would have to call to book the open jaw, or book each leg separately and ask for half the avios back on the inbound.
