    If you have a Platinum card you will in your benefits section an offer alongside your hotel status, Avis, Hertz upgrade offers reside that you need to manually click to activate.

    It’s 200 USD off a Onefinestay.com stay. You can stack with the £500 off £1000 onefinestay spend that a lot of cards have in the offer sections.

    You click enrol on the 200 USD offer spend and are duly enrolled, status changes from pending to enrolled.

    Only thing is, the offer expired 31 May 2021!

    That seems wrong to me, leading you up the garden path….getting you to enrol in an offer, thinking you will get 200USD , when all along the offer expire 1.5 years ago.

    I couldnt get the Amex chat rep to grasp that concept. They said the Platinum Card’s benefit was enrolment onto onefinestay.com….ANYONE can enrol on onefinestay.com , its a free website.

    Wow, they are still marketing it…surely that’s false advertising/marketing?

    Happy to take this on….any HfP’ers out there that could advise on the best course of action?

    @Ed_fly – The Onefinestay offer is also on page 24 of the Platinum welcome pack brochure, although it does say:

    “You could enjoy:

    ▪ A US$200 credit on each booking”

    ▪▪▪could▪▪▪

    Whereas on page 23:

    “Book and stay two consecutive nights or more at any property in The Hotel Collection and you will receive:

    ▪ A US$100 to spend…”

    ▪▪▪will▪▪▪

    My legal knowledge isn’t strong enough regarding the law re marketing materials vs the specific t&c’s you sign up to, I’m sure @jdb will have a more informed view. But in terms of approaching Amex and asking them to honour the offer, hopefully they’d be amenable either to a statement credit or some MR’s??

    The thing with all the Platinum benefits is that they are part of an overall package that regulators require to offer reasonable value. Individual components can and will change from time to time. Were you complaining about Amex adding the £150+£150 dining benefits without that being in the T&Cs when you signed up? I’m also a bit mystified re onefinestay as it is a £200 statement credit (not money off) so not sure how it would stack with an offer on another card unless you pay on multiple cards.

    The question is they push a benefit, now – which in its T&C’s actually says expired May 2021.

    In simple terms…

    Come and sign up and my pay for my service/product and I’ll give you benefit X….you sign up….I’d like benefit X please now…..oh sorry we stopped giving benefit X…..when?….1.5 years before you signed up.

    FYI I signed up Oct 2022.

    @Ash, if you still have your Platinum welcome brochure, please refer them to it, page 53, note 14 regarding Onefinestay. The credit offer expiry date is actually listed for stays from 11/06/22 to be completed by up to and including 31st May 2023.

    The brochure code at the back is CAM8600 06/22 for reference.

    @Ash there you have your answer! It’s also not worth getting excited about as, like FHR, onefinestay prices are padded so there is plenty of scope to take with one hand and return with the other and you will find the properties on other sites for much less.

    @skywalker thank you. Was the PDF emailed to you ? If its online where on the account , any pointers appreciated. I’ve only seen a 6 page version.

    @Ash it was a physical brochure/catalogue/booklet, received in the Amex platinum welcome pack with the card. Check if you still have this.

    Link to a video of what it looks like for reference.

    My offers section on Amex app and website state onefinestay credit of $200 valid till 2028 and I also have a separate offer of £500 off £1000 spend.

    It shows just after dining offers.

    @meta
    – is the OFS credit something that was manually put on your card, or was it automatic? Just curious because in my account I am shown as subscribed to it, but with nothing in my offers section on the card.

    Same here @skywalker

    @meta
    is is 200 USD of any stay? Repeatable. Does it say in T&C’s if it can be stacked with the £500 offer. If you don’t mind, when was the card opened?

    It’s odd that it for Skywalker and I it appears as a manual enrol benefit in the travel/benefit section…albeit with the 31 May 2021 expiry hidden in the T&C’s.
