I have always had a BA Premium Plus Card but my wife has previously opened and then closed her card every couple of years to take advantage of the new customer sign-up bonus.
My wife last cancelled her card in March 2025 with a Premium Plus voucher issued in September 2024 and a standard voucher issued in March 2025. I believe she was issued two vouchers due to the change in required spend etc.
If my wife were to sign up for a new BA Premium Plus card, would she be able to work towards earning another voucher? I understand she won’t receive any sign-up bonus, but we are looking to go away at a specific time, so we could do with working towards a voucher on her account from the start of June.
I am unsure if the vouchers issued in September 2024 and March 2025 would affect our eligibility to earn another voucher.
Yes – you start earning a new voucher when you open a new card, even if you don’t qualify for the SUB.
