Amex -> Emirates transfer devaluation

Last call to transfer Amex MR into Emirates…

From 19 August 2024 the points transfer ratio for the Emirates Skywards loyalty programme will be changed from: “1 Membership Rewards® point = 1 Skywards mile” to “4 Membership Rewards points = 3 Skywards miles”

Is this just the UK program or does this apply to everyone? Always seems the UK MR program gets the short end of the stick

Nightmare as I have 500k miles and I always use for Emirates Skywards!!

well, if you’re confident you are going to use all of them in three years, you can transfer now and beat the change

Emirates may live to regret that as Qatar have some great Avios reward offers on and at 1:1 I’ve just snaffled me & the wife a QSuite/First Class flight upgrade for 76,000 points to the Maldives.

Emirates wanted 225,000 Skywards miles for the same.

Not sure I trust the potential for an effective devaluation on Skywards either….
