Help please! Desperately chasing missing Avios / tier points

Long time reader, thanks for all the work headforpoints.

Can anyone advise best way to get missing points credited to my BA Exec Club.

I booked business class for myself and my wife, a cash fare from KUL-DOH-LHR directly through the Qatar Airways website. I entered our BA exec club numbers at the time of booking. Both legs have QR flight codes, but the KUL-DOH leg was operated by Malaysian Airlines.

The DOH-LHR leg was credited immediately after flying. (Qatar metal) Its the other leg that’s gone astray. I also lost my BA status because of it not crediting in time.

I made a request on BA for missing avios with a partner airline, because that’s where I want the points/tier points to credit. That’s still pending. Is that correct to make a request there? Now, BA are telling me on twitter the booking reference and e-ticket number are not in their system, and I’ll need a boarding pass for the leg, as it was operated by Malaysian. I don’t have a digital copy of this, can you request copies?
