Help Please! Going round in circles trying to log on…

I’m trying to log on to my BAEC account after several years of inactivity (nearest airport is Manchester so BA has been rather irrelevant).
I don’t have my number nor username/password but it recognizes my email address; they are sending me a link to that email address but so fat today there’s nothing, and don’t worry, I’ve checked junk too.
I can’t seem to find a phone number or an email contact that may be able to help, anybody have any ideas? I’ve just received my shiny Barclays Avios card with the bonus on 10k so I need that number.

Start a shiny new BA account, new BAEC number, profit.

Deal with the other inactive account at leisure in the background – it may be that BA IT has actually done things correctly and removed your old email address after several years of inactivity.

I just typed in a junk email address like sdfaojfaoijqieovwjovij@dsjajoijwpijdwpij.com and it promised to send me an email to find my login details, so don’t take acceptance of your email address as evidence that you still have a live account with that email.

What do you mean by ‘recognises your email address’? If you’re trying the reset password link, you can type in any old rubbish you like, it’s designed to not confirm whether an email address is valid.

If you’ve not used the BAEC account for years presumably there nothing in it, so unless you have a large lifetime TP balance you want to preserve why not just open a new one? If you’ve tried that and it tells you the email address is already in use that’s a different matter.
