So this implies that if you close your card, then there is nothing to render you ineligible unless you had a new card or a credit limit increase within the past 6 months

Is there any way with the HSBC card to see:
    – Which MCCs are excluded from earning points? (I know HMRC is one, but this doesn’t appear to be in the T&Cs)
    – An itemisation of which transactions of my spend did earn points (it feels like I just have to take their word for the total being correct, rather than seeing an itemisation)

    Thanks!

@ChrD on the first point, no, not when I held the card. Things would just stop earning points (and HMRC was never allowed as HMRC do not accept credit cards). Anything that earned via Curve by fronting credit with debit card was stopped a long time ago, and that was not related to MCC, so HSBC’s policies are not (solely) based on MCC.

I haven’t found the itemisation in the mobile app, but I stumbled on it in online banking through desktop. Click the Total points balance link next to your points total then click the “Spend your points” button and there’s a recent activity list down the page.

    Hello,
I want to change my WE Card to the Free Premier Credit Card.

I also want to make sure I don’t lose my Reward Points earned from the Premier Card. I don’t want to move the. To Avios yet, as I’m waiting for the “bonus”.

Can anyone advise the best way to do this please.

I’ve tried on Chat and it’s not been easy!

    Thanks

Hi Ross. Did you work out how to do this? I’m in the same position.

I’ve got Avis Presidents via my WE elite card (sign-up via Mastercard Priceless). At the time of sign up I recall that status was valid for 2 years only. Anyone got any experience of signing up again once initial 2 years has expired.

I could get Pres Club status via for Amex Plat thinking of ditching that card as it has lost its shine for me.

Does anyone know if you lose your reward points immediately upon cancellation, or there’s a grace period to allow transfers out?

Question for those who used restaurant credits – are they the same as offered by Halifax / Lloyds world elite cards?
Does the HSBC version come with fast track as well?

You get £18 credits through PP and yes there’s fast track which you need to book each time through Mastercard Travel Experiences.

Immediately in my experience. Transfer them before you close the card
