Is Nectar card then Platinum then BAPP application on same day/week?

Hi there
My husband has just gone past his 2 years to reapply for Amex. Looking at the article on the order to apply, it’s Nectar then Plat then BAPP. Can he apply for one, get accepted and apply for the next one on the same day, and receive both or the signup bonuses?
So say he does Nectar today and they accept him, can he apply for the platinum straight after receiving the acceptance of the nectar?

In terms of eligibility for sign up bonus, there’s no bar based on multiple applications in quick succession. However that’s a different matter from whether he’d be accepted for all the cards. If you were the lender how would you view someone applying for multiple lines of credit at the same time?
The only way you’ll find out is if you try.

This is totally crazy for multiple reasons.

1-you can’t control when the Amex system accepts you, so the acceptances may drop in the wrong order

2-do you really have enough spend to trigger the bonuses?

3-what’s the point in applying for BAPP when only the standard bonus is available?

4-if you mess it up you need to wait 2 years to try again

Your big issue is that the 80k Plat offer ends on 27th May. If you apply for Nectar now there is a risk you get rejected for Platinum shortly after and lose the 80k. Arguably take Nectar now and then wait for the next BAPP or Plat bonus to appear.

Thanks- i think it’s mainly to get the first 2, even if not the third. We have enough spend for the first 2, ie the nectar and Amex plat, but the main thing is that the current offer to 27 may means we don’t have much time to make the applications, so wanted to know if done around the same time, there would be any issues.

If i refer him, he gets 100k SUP plus my 9k on BAPP so that’s the attractive one, but just wondered whether to get the nectar in advance of that, or if its too much of a risk with not tracking in order, or anything else like that.

But as you say if the risk is that getting the nectar fails him the platinum, then it’s not worth getting the nectar. Just trying to max the SUPs available
