Hi. I am flying to Singapore in October and wanted to include a few nights in Cambodia. Singapore Airlines have a direct flight to Siem Reap, but when I called Virgin Atlantic to book the flight using my Virgin points I was told that they don’t have that flight because they don’t get access to ALL Singapore Airlines flights. Which is a bit annoying as I have 150,000 points sat in my Virgin Atlantic account which I am struggling to use and using them for this flight would have been ideal.
Is there any way to move points from Virgin Atlantic to KrisFlyer? I can see an option to move points from Virgin to IHG (at 1:1) and then from IHG to KrisFlyer (at 5:1) but the exchange rates aren’t great and my 150000 Virgin points would result in 30000 KrisFlyer miles. Are there any other options or tricks available?
None. Are you looking for business class fares? SQ blocks pretty much all premium awards in long haul flights when trying to redeeming using VS points. Economy could be available. Check on United website for availability.
The only option is to use your Amex or Bonvoy points to transfer to SQ. Or use alternate partners like Alaskan or Aeroplan.
