Forums Frequent flyer programs British Airways Executive Club London to Tokyo with vouchers

  • 15 posts

    Hello everyone.

Looking to fly from London to Tokyo. 2 adults and a 3 year old.

I have both a premium amex 2-4-1 voucher and a barclays upgrade voucher. Amy advice for getting best value?

Website suggests 140,000 points plus £600 return when using the 2-4-1 but I cant see if there is any way of also using the upgrade voucher somehow.

    Cheers!

You can’t mix these vouchers in the same booking

Book you and child using the 2-4-1 and the other adult using the Barclays voucher,

You’ll have separate bookings though but that’s the only way.

Thanks so much. Is it possible to do it over the phone so we can sit together?

Unless you have status you won’t be able to select seats until OLCI opens. The adult and child will probably be allocated seats together a few days before then but you won’t be able to see that until T-24.

Also it might help to look at the various threads on here about booking seats to popular destinations. You might need to be on the ball if you want 3 CW seats to Tokyo using 2 different vouchers, depending on when you’re planning to travel.

Also check that your 3 year old will be ok in Club Suite if applicable!

More specifically, unless you have status you won’t be able to select seats for free until OLCI opens. You would be able to pay to select seats – but bear that cost in mind.

Yes sorry, that wasn’t clear! OP hasn’t given us much info – they could be BA gold and therefore able to pick all the seats for free when booking!
