Ivy Asia St Paul’s is on the list but the other two Ivy Asia restaurants aren’t. I imagine I have answered my own question, but I assume I won’t get the credit at either of the others? [Am aware I could always purchase a gift card at a participating branch first]

Likewise in Cardiff (where The Ivy is the only participating restaurant in Wales) – I plan to put £150 on a gift card at The Ivy, then walk next door to Ivy Asia to spend it.

Good morning. Quick question. I have made an online reservation for sushi samba which has charged £80. I need to cancel the booking, but the problem is the dining credit has somehow come off of that even though I didn’t expect it!
I now need to cancel the reservation. If it is refunded will I have problem redeeming the full £150 credit later on? Thanks so much

Does anyone know if Din Tai Fung is included? I seem to have received a credit for a meal but I’m not sure if this is an erroneous refund or they are part of the promotion and it’s a statement credit?

I got a credit for the Bicester offer of 10% back, when I ate at Din Tai Fung in Covent Garden in April. I’m assuming payment must be processed through Bicester and triggered it.

Looking to go to Terrazza Gallilia in Milan but will be daytime so eating and drinking in the bar rather than restaurant as not open in day. Anyone been and does it still apply for credit? I would hope it would be same as restaurant.

Thinking about using this at Marcus at The Berkeley in London, does anyone know if it will likely stack with the sped £300 get £100 maybourne hotel group offer?

It says room spend only on the offer, so unless you can get the restaurant charge billed via the reception probably not as Marcus is an independent operation. More controversially, if you watched Masterchef when Monica and Marcus were on, she was clearly the better cook which is borne out by eating their food as well. Marcus is a much more poncy place than Mere but the latter is, for many, better, cheaper and rather more relaxed. All a matter of personal preference.

sorry, reported the comment rather than quote.

Anyway, agree re Marcus. Found the food quite average.

In the far east over NYE this year and wondering if a NYE booking will register for this years credit or next? Does it depend on receipt time stamp?

It will be the U.K. time that the card is entered in the card terminal.

Went to Miller & Carter in Frankfurt to use overseas element of dining credit.

Menus provided in both German and English, lovely meal, friendly multilingual staff and nice decor/atmosphere.

“You’ve used your offer” email triggered soon after, and the dining credit came through two days later.

Went to 20 Stories in Manchester last Tuesday evening, very good service and exceptional steak….they are clearly in direct competition with the Ivy next door.

Brilliant views and a great vibe. For 2 person with a few cocktails £150 won’t be an issue.
    Statement credited 6 days later.

I went to Hawksmoor Air Street last week and even though it’s not listed as one of the eligible locations, I was pleasantly surprised when I got an email saying I had triggered my dining credit offer!

Has anyone used their dining credit in Vienna? Looks like there are a lot of casual dining options which means £150 could go a long way.

I used my credit at Gastwirtschaft Huth last year – two of us very much enjoyed the wiener schnitzel and a nice bottle of wine comfortably within the credit limit.

+1 for this place. Had an excellent meal with friends last year and will go back with family in 2024.

For the international dining credit I utilised it whilst on holiday in Canada. We dined at Canoe in Toronto which was excellent. Also very accommodating for children. Received an email to confirm almost immediately after paying and received the credit within a few days.

As we were in Mallorca last week, thought we’d use the Dining Offer at UM Beach House, Portals Nous. It’s the only place in Mallorca on the Amex list. Although it gets well reviewed and kept us amused watching the Insta types round the pool who had paid €500 for a bed, the restaurant service was the most ‘Fawlty Towers’ I’ve experienced.

Checking in 10 mins prior to reservation time, the podium princess looked distinctly unimpressed at our arrival and showed us to comfy seats. 10 mins after reservation time, server arrived and seated us, nice table in the window. So far so good. Came back to take drinks order, these were delivered in reasonable time, minus one that had been forgotten that arrived 5 mins later. Ordered bread and olives. Ordered mains. 45 mins later, bread and olives were delivered after a polite enquiry regarding their whereabouts. Three of the mains arrived, server asked if I’d like some of the paella that others had ordered as my main was on its way. Server returned at 1850, 90 mins after we’d arrived and after the others had finished and my sides were cold, to say that the kitchen was closing and did we want anything else? Yes please, my main course. ‘Oops, I forgot. Can I get you free coffees as an apology?’

Server didn’t hang around for a tip, manager brought the bill and asked if everything was OK. We laughed, told him and he rather aggressively said ‘why didn’t you say something?”. We had. Paid bill, we’d expected to spend £300 across two cards but only spent £160 and thought ah well, it was so bad it was amusing and at least nearly ‘free’. Except that the Amex cashback hasn’t tracked….doh.
