Forums › Frequent flyer programs › British Airways Executive Club › No Nectar-Avios auto convert on Monday 14th October?
-
I set up Nectar to Avios auto convert earlier this month, to get the auto convert bonus. The conversion happened automatically on Monday 7th October, but there was no auto conversion on Monday 14th October.
Did anyone else have this issue?
Yes. Mine didn’t convert as it’s done for the past two years and nor did my brother-in-law’s.
Wonder if the additional demand on the 7th exceeded expectations?
Same for my wife’s account. Didnt auto convert..
Mine converted on 14th after signing up earlier in the month.
No bonus received yet, but not panicking just yet.Same issue also, went onto nectar chat but they were about as much use as a chocolate teapot.
Basically said i can move them manually and contact BA about the 25% bonus avios.
Complete waste of 30 minutes on webchat from a representive from nectar who couls only tell me about the current promo which has nothing to do with free avios
Nectar said the auto-convert was BA’s problem. BA said the bonus was Nectars issue.
Neither were any help and the conversion has still not happened ( was fine on 7th)Mine converted on 14th after signing up earlier in the month.

Ok I’m confused now. I thought the recent promotion was 350 Avios (which I received last week). Was the 25% bonus in addition or a different offer? (Mine didn’t autoconvert on 14th either.)

It was the next and different offer. https://www.headforpoints.com/2024/10/02/nectar-avios-transfer-bonus/
No auto conversion yesterday either for me. Looks like it’s completely broken.
Ditto. Nectar told me to manually transfer last week and gave me 25% bonus nectar manually. Said it would regenerate the auto convert but of course it didn’t this week either.
That’s frustrating, I had received 20,000 nectar points for over 50’s life insurance a few days ahead of the 14th which I had assumed would autoconvert on 14th. (And no conversion yesterday for me neither.)

has this bonus paid yet for anyone? 15%/25% depending on manual auto convert transfer
“ 7. Eligible participants will receive their bonus Avios 28 days after campaign expiry.”
They usually take a while.
Autoconvert worked this week after three week gap. No sign of the % bonus yet (though not up to the 28 day point yet).
No auto convert on the 14th for me either, or 21st or 28th but on the 30th some kind sole cleaned out the account, down from 55k to -39k points!!. Nectar have closed the account and will open a new one with all the points returned so they say.
Got a response from Nectar on this – there is a 40,000 nectar point (25,000 Avios) autoconvert cap per quarter. Hence why autoconvert will have stopped if you’ve already transferred that number of points in the quarter.

That’s not the reason it didn’t happen on the 14th for many people. I turned it on for the offer, had nowhere near the cap go across on the 7th Oct and was expecting a small top up to go across on the 14th which didn’t happen.
The 7th was the first Monday of the quarter so anything prior to that wouldn’t count towards the new quarter cap anyway, not that I’d used auto convert in a long time.
On the daily chat yesterday it was reported that (for that person at least) the conversion bonus landed in their account (presumably in Avios not NP) on 4 November ….

That was me, but i’ve just double checked, and it so happens my autoconvert amount this month was exactly the same as the bonus amount I was awaiting. So probably a false positive I’m afraid.

Actually reassuring! Thanks
Bonus arrived yesterday (though dated 11th). I had two, 250 Avios (for a 1,600 Nectar to 1,000 conversion) and a random 63 which makes no sense at either 25% nor 15%. Both called “Nectar Bonus Award”. Missing of course are 3,125 Avios on a 20,000 autoconversion which didn’t happen on 14th.
Did anyone get to the bottom of who to complain to- Nectar or Avios?
