I checked in as usual online and got the message passport check required
As I’m travelling with hand luggage only can I get the check done at the gate or will have to do it at check in kiosk Prior to security ???You won’t get through the boarding pass scan to enter security – must be done at the kiosk before security *but* ask which one as there is usually one allocated for these checks (e.g. In T5 there’s a terminal in amongst the self bag drop)
You can more than likely get it sorted at EDI rather than going out and back in again at LHR. Just go to one of the check in desks at EDI and ask for both boarding passes to be printed.
You do have an ESTA don’t you?

Apply for a redress number. Fingers crossed, no SSSS since I got mine.
