Is this the Westlake?
Looks to me like the basic room is there same size but costs over £60 less per night. Is the lounge access really worth paying that much more for?
I actually began with the Junior Suite which is only a little extra but afaik doesn’t include club access.
You are likely correct, but I figured I would at least secure the rate while I weigh up the options. The Melia looks smart, although it looks like I can’t quite manage your rate for my dates.

I used one of my 20% vouchers (for being gold status thanks to the Amex platinum) and booking through the app deducts 5%. I think that’s an overall discount of 24%

Thank you for the tip re: app!
I stayed at the IC Westlake a couple of weeks ago and have the annual lounge pass. Excellent range of hot dishes (around 6 options) with plenty of cold canapés and desserts and cheese. Sparkling wine and range of wines. Excellent gym and thermal area and outdoor pool. Lovely sunset bar overlooking the lake to enjoy a drink and some musicians. Easy transfers into town using Grab. Fantastic breakfast spread as well.
Anyone use the railcard recently for overseas hotels, and had any troubles with check-in asking for proof of eligibility for this rate?
I’ve booked myself quite a number of stays in HK and Asia using this rate in May. I do have a Railcard… but also know that the ihg.com/railcard website, in the T&Cs, say that its only valid till end 2022…!
If you can still book the rate should be okay?
Do they even check if you’re eligible for the railcard or for example buy a London / SE railcard for £30 and save £60-70 a night off an IC or Kimpton?
This looks valid still – Railcards discounted
