Forums Hotel loyalty schemes Hilton Honors What is the Hilton Honors redemption price cap?

In this HFP article it states a price cap of 90,000 in expensive resort hotels https://www.headforpoints.com/2021/05/22/hilton-honors-review-2/

I’ve been looking at a night in September at the Waldorf Astoria in Edinburgh, where the cheapest room available is 262k honors points (or £485)

Is this because there is a cheaper room category available, which isn’t showing as it’s not available (for cash or points)?

The cap is for standard rooms, so it sounds as though there are none of these available and only premium rooms are showing. You’d need to have a ridiculous number of points to use them for these, though, especially as you don’t get the 5 nights for 4 on non-standard rooms.

Thanks Lass. Would be helpful if the app showed this room category as fully booked but ho hum

The “cap” is subject to change at any time with no advance notice anyway
