Forums Frequent flyer programs British Airways Executive Club Royal Jordanian FF update

  • 89 posts

On my recent outbound flight to the US, I set my frequent flyer number to Royal Jordanian (For lounge access and priority boarding) and later changed it in the lounge to British Airways to earn Avios. Now on the return flight, I was hoping I could revert it to Royal Jordanian, but that option is greyed out on the Air Morocco website and my boarding pass has only the BA blue number. Would I be able to change it at the airport?

If you have the physical or digital card then there should be no need to change but I can understand why you might want to. They should permit access on the basis of the card but if they insist then get them to change it, and then change it back.

Got it. Thank you. The only issue would be the lack of fast track through security.

All these Jays and Sparrows needing to flap or toggle between FF programmes is going to end in tiers (sic). RAM must be mystified by all the traffic to their site after Finnair put a prompt stop to it.

The people who control access to the security lanes really want to see status and thus entitlement on the BP. They don’t want to be looking passpeots, boarding passes and shiney cards.

Never understand this obsession with fast track security, every time we have it (maybe 25% of flights) we always seem to be going slower than the regular security lines… went through T5 2 weeks ago and actually got out of the fast track and joined the regular… ridiculous

If it works and is quicker then great, but definitely doesn’t seem to be a lot of the time

We call the fast track at LHR “the entitled line”. It is consistently slower than normal security.

Many passengers seem to be taking tons of hand luggage with them and I wonder how many of them are there. I witnessed one woman pull bottles and bottles of liquids from her oversized bag last time. Once you pass tbe metal detector people just pick their stuff and leave the trays everywhere because they behave as entitled brats.

And don’t get me started with tbe security guys. They do as much as they can to make the experience as slow and painful as possible.
