Hi,
I’ve just got a new Amex reward card and am on track to spend the £3k required to trigger the sign up bonus points.
The card also gives 2500 points for every £5k of spend.
Does that £5k spend include the £3k for the sign up bonus or not?
eg if I’ve already spent £3k to now, do I now need to spend a further £2k to get the 2500 bonus points, or does it reset after the sign up bonus and I now need to spend £5k.
If anyone at Amex is reading this, that’s definitely an area of the app that could be improved, showing how far you are off triggering bonuses.
Yes, it includes the £3k, so you’ll trigger your first 2500 spend bonus after another £2k has gone through.
