hello all,
2 years ago I was gifted gold membership thorough a friend of mine whom is Gold member and reached 3500 tier points in one year so he gifted me a gold membership. In May it automatically renewed for another year, I don’t think this will happen this coming May, will get softlanding to silver or bumped down to Blue? TIA

thank you, i was looking for the word softlanding and nothing came up. i will need just to see when may comes!
So long as you have taken 4 qualifying flights, you will be softlanded.
You definitely get a soft landing with 4 qualifying flights.
There are cases of ‘gifted’ Golds not getting soft landing without this.
As yours was rolled over then I suspect the BA system no longer sees it as ‘gifted’ so you may be fine, but personally I’d be doing the four segments.
(If you mean you got ‘the rest of the current year plus the next full year’ then this is normal and you weren’t given anything extra, in which case I would be even keener to get the 4 cash segments in.)
