Has anyone ever transferred points from an UK card to an EU card? If so, how does it work? Do I have to close my UK card for that?
I have a gold card in the UK and platinum in Spain. Transferring the points I could get advantage of the exchange rate (plus in Spain there are sometimes a 20% extra avios with IB)You just call them and ask them to do it – you don’t have to close your UK card and it takes a couple of weeks. But you can only do one transfer per year.
