Rang BA at about 00:50, US line. Got through to a lady and passed security and explained I wanted to add a return to my Avios booking. This was maybe 00.56. She said sure and line went dead. No doubt in my mind she put the phone down. Rang back and line closed. Not happy, but guess nothing I can do. Hope seats available tomorrow but such poor poor service.
What’s there to say – she’s worked her shift and she wants to go home.
I wouldn’t attribute it all to poor service – some of it is poor planning on your part 😉
Calling with a query (that could be extensive if BA systems aren’t playing ball) with 10 minutes left before the line closes isn’t likely to yield the best results.
There have been multiple posts over the past few months about the US office refusing to do this any more, so you’re taking a gamble on getting through to someone who is willing to help. People seem to be calling Japan and Australia instead.
