    Hi

Can anyway explain the benefits of world elite MasterCard benefits for the Barclaycard? I am just curious about it, and I remembered Rob said they might do an article about it but I haven’t seen it?

    Cheers

    There’s a whole thread about it: https://www.headforpoints.com/forums/topic/mysterious-mastercard-world-elite-privileges/

    TLDR; not many benefits

Why is everyone so obsessed with the WE benefits… Surely, people are basing the decision of getting this card on the 25k (50k) SUB, the Upgrade Voucher etc and not the WE benefits themselves.

If they were benefits, do you not think Barclaycard would have advertised them during product launch months ago to get more new customers??

As these were mentioned in the launch article but with no further details, it would be good to know in the first place what those would be.

In theory, for those of us that have Amex Platinum, it could be a cheaper alternative if Barclaycard had signed up to the full suite of benefits that can be subscribed from MC rewards when offering those cards (Concierge, lounge access, rewards points, hotel/car rental statuses, travel insurance, etc). As we know, probably the best suite of benefits is only offered by Santander in the UK and next by HSBC (lounge and rewards points)
