Here is another batch of Black Friday travel deals we have been notified about in advance.

We take no responsibility if these deals have changed or don’t work as promised.  Remember that we are often sent links which are not designed to go live until the day itself and we can’t test them in advance.

Amazon

Amazon has been great at communicating their Black Friday deals and we covered a few over on Shopper Points.

Priority Pass

If you’ve been thinking of getting a Priority Pass airport lounge card, there is a discount today.

You will save 40% on Standard memberships, 25% on Standard Plus memberships, and 25% on Prestige memberships.  Full details should hopefully be showing on the Priority Pass site here.

Opodo

Opodo has released a money off code for flights and holidays.

This offer is only valid on round trips starting in the UK.

Railcards

These deals always prove popular with HFP readers.  You can save £5 on a Friends & Family Railcard and £5 on a 16-25 Railcard.

You need to use code BLK5AF and buy via the Railcard website here.

Virgin Atlantic

Virgin Atlantic sent us one list of Black Friday deals and then followed it up – presumably after they’d seen the BA deals – with a second list with lower prices!  Fares in economy are starting from £320.

The Black Friday deals page is here.

Iberia

Iberia has some good holiday deals with economy flights with the lead offer being two nights in Madrid for £159 per person. Flights and holidays must be booked by tonight for travel between 10th January and 21st March 2018. The Iberia Black Friday page is here.

Vueling

Meanwhile, Iberia’s sister company Vueling is offering 490,000 discounted seats at prices from €29.99.

The English-language sale page is here.

Remember that, now Vueling Club is live, you now earn Avios – based on what you spend – when flying Vueling.  Full details are in this HfP article.

From 9am today there will be 100 seats to Los Angeles from London for only £175 return per person.

From 10am there will be 50 seats to New Zealand via LA for only £399 per person.

The booking page is here.  Do you realistically have a chance of grabbing one of these?  Probably not …..

You must use the code BLACK at checkout to get the discount. The homepage is here.

You must log into your myGatwick account, enter your flight details and then click ‘more info’ and ‘take me there’ in the 25% off voucher to book parking at the discounted rate.

If you are interested in a membership you can get a one year membership for just £9,406 if you purchase it today.  JetSmarter’s homepage is here.

Oman Air

Oman Air has released a promotion code for economy flights from London Heathrow and Manchester. For example, Dubai is priced from £299 and Muscat from just £369.

You must use the code AFFL2017 on the Oman Air website to see the discounted price.

Jetsmarter membership for JUST £9,406 – I’ll get right on that!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
In all seriousness though, apart from the Priority Pass promotion, none of these Black Friday deals jump out as being really awesome bargains. Particularly disappointed with the Virgin Atlantic promotion – those fares aren’t that low and the dates are pretty restrictive as I’m looking for an outbound between 18-24 December. Was also hoping to see some excellent return Upper Class fares.

I’ve actually found better (none Black Friday) ex-Europe Club World fares instead. Starting to feel like the Black Friday thing is a massive disappointment.

I agree, the hype around this nonsense is overblown. I am in the market for a new TV and sound system and 6 weeks ago priced it all up in a store that is never knowingly undersold. They were cheaper than Costco!
10 days later the price was jacked up by almost £200 and magically today is the same as it was originally.
I also hate the term Black Friday.

      • Andrew says:

I bought the new Amazon Echo in Harrods last Sunday during their cardholder weekend.

        Amazon – £70
        Harrods – £63

Likewise a few weeks back, when I bought a new TV:-

        Tesco Direct & Amazon – £399
        John Lewis – £379

Not much in the overall scheme of things, but I do like to pay less for an identical product if I can.

Re car hire (eg Europcar), I need a car for South Africa in Feb, collecting from Cape Town Centre and dropping off at George airport 8 days later. Anyone any tips for good deals currently?

    • Paul says:

Money saving expert or carhire3000. I also find the links from airlines provide some deals including those of Easy Jet, Ryan Air and American Airlines.

    • Genghis says:

Thanks chaps. Went for carrentals (previously carhire3000) in the end as significantly cheaper.

  • Mike says:

Priority pass link doesn’t appear to be working yet 🙁

  • Delbert says:

Not in the market for any Black Friday deals relating to flights, lounge passes or car rentals at this very moment, unfortunately.

But going to pull the trigger on a Bowers & Wilkins T7 Portable Wireless Bluetooth Speaker from John Lewis which will come in handy on our holidays. £40 off so £259.99 all told [not £30 off as stated on the JL website] which is a fantastic deal including the obligatory JL two year guarantee. Had my eye on one of these little beauts for quite a while.

you must use Fare Hold to stand a chance to get the BF Air NZ seats

  • Luke says:

Budgetair.co.uk offer 30£ off promo code (FRIYAY30) – no min. spending…you can find flights for 1£, but overall prices are massively inflated, so it may/may not work for everyone…also opodo/edreams loaded some extremely cheap flight tickets around Europe last night (for example I booked Lon-Prg in June for 15£ return flyjng with ryanair)… Kayak or momondo may be helpful…plus Singapore airline 300£ return UK to USA should be avail.

  • the real harry1 says:

Wizz Air have -20% BF deal

  • Delbert says:

    Wrong thread, sorry.
