    Don’t forget that the iPhone 5, and the latest versions of the iPod launched recently have switched from the long running 30-pin ‘dock connector’ to the new tiny ‘Lightning’ connector format. (The new iPad models have also swiithced, but I can’t recall seeing many similar ‘docking stations’ for ipads wild in the shops).
