Here is a quick reminder that the 48-hour IHG Rewards Club sale is still running until the end of Saturday. This year over 600 hotels in Europe are taking part.
The sale covers the period from December 15th to February 14th.
As you can see from this page on the IHG website, the list of participating hotels is priced from £29 to £169.
The deals are not the best I have ever seen. The UK £29 list only comprises Holiday Inn Express hotels, albeit £29 for a room and free breakfast is not bad. The first semi-decent London hotel is Holiday Inn Kensington at a respectable £49.
The Holiday Inn Stratford I used to get in the sales for £20 is now £89 – close to its normal price in the dead season. The HI Wembley is a joke at £89 given that it is just 10,000 points to redeem.
If you want a luxury break, the £169 level is more interesting. InterContinental Park Lane is there, as the IC Paris Le Grand – a Valentine break may be possible.
The clock on the sale website is counting down so take a look now if you will need a hotel in the next couple of months.
