Both are worth a look.  Finnair is a British Airways partner and you will earn Avios and tier points if you fly with them.  SWISS is a member of Star Alliance so you won’t earn Avios, but you will get to experience a fantastic business class product.

Just a quick correction – that is not the new AY business class seat on the A350. The photo is of the existing seat fitted to the A330 + selected A340 aircraft (which incidentally is the same seat as found in SWISS business class.

    • Rob says:

Thanks John, apologies. As I say below, I am flying the A350 next month so will finally know what I am talking about!

      • James67 says:

I believe the a350 seat is a newe version of the CX business seat.

  • Keith says:

If the Finnair business class booking has flights operated by Flybe on the MAN-HEL sectors, do you still earn the full BA miles and tier points for these flights?

  • Idrive says:

Do you mean that somehow there no are fully flat beds guaranteed on the Finnair ones? At least i hope on the A350 which is just new!

    • Rob says:

A350 and retrofitted old planes are OK.

I am flying the Finnair A350 next month so will bring you a full report, it will mean future articles like this have some more informed comment from me in them about Finnair seats, food and lounges.

      • idrive says:

Thansk, these fares (at least some of them) are interesting if compared with ExEU we saw recently, it is almost the same from London. I hope I will benefit somehow!

    Raffles

Have you flown QR on the A350?

Be interesting to see how a cheaper biz class offering on it will see/feel…

    • Rob says:

No – I am doing Qatar A380 F in a few weeks but pairing it with Etihad A380 F (QR A350 would have been another option, admittedly).

  • Nick says:

Ps I’ve been ion the A350 on QR and its superb!

  • Leo says:

Oops you had already provided the link. Doh.
