Two generous Hilton competition prizes just for UK residents

Hilton Honors has launched a generous competition which is only for UK residents and is not being widely promoted. When they ran one of these last year, a Head for Points reader was the winner – let’s see if we can get lucky again.

In association with the McLaren-Honda Formula 1 team, Hilton Honors is giving away two great family experiences and 10 runners-up prizes via this website.

The two main prizes are worth winning:

Become the McLaren-Honda’s team mascot for the British Grand Prix

Win a family holiday in Abu Dhabi, including flights

The third prize requires you to be a bit of a Formula 1 fan:

Win 1 of 10 caps signed by Fernando Alonso and Stoffel Vandoorne

become team mascot mclaren honda

The first prize is a one night stay at the Hilton Northampton on 15th July (not, usually, very exciting!) and the opportunity for one child to be the McLaren-Honda Formula 1 team mascot for the British Grand Priz on 16th July.

This does sound great if your child is a F1 fan.  The winner will be involved in:

Escorting the McLaren-Honda drivers to media engagements throughout the day
Escorting a McLaren-Honda driver to the garage before the race, helping to carry their race kit
Assisting the McLaren-Honda drivers with their pre-race preparation in the McLaren-Honda team motorhome
Various photo opportunities throughout the day
Being in the garage as both McLaren-Honda cars leave for the grid before the race
Taking a seat beside the McLaren-Honda pit crew to watch the race unfold

The second prize is a 5-night stay at the Hilton Abu Dhabi for four including flights. This prize has to be used before 1st January 2018.

You cannot choose which prize you’d like to win, which is a little unfortunate as I think they appeal to totally different markets.

To enter the prize draw you must join Hilton Honors – free – before 11th June via the form at the bottom of this page if you are not already a member.

You must be 18 years old and a legal resident of the UK.  (The restriction to the UK means the chances for a HfP reader to win are quite high.)

If you are already a member of Hilton Honors you can enter straight away by logging into your account at the bottom of this website. You can also find more information here about the prizes.

Good luck!

  1. Does my 24 year old son count as my child for the GP? I remember a fools & horses sketch when Del won a competition with Rodney as his child. Hilarious!!

  2. O/T

Does anyone have the link to upgrade Amex Gold to Plat?

  3. Fenny says:

F1 is about as exciting as watching paint dry, but a day in the pits would be fun. I don’t have a child, so would expect to be the mascot myself!

    • David says:

Whaaaat? We’re off to Monza this year. Flight and accommodation on points, tickets paid for by Southern Rail delay repay. Bargain!

      • Fenny says:

        Bad luck 😉

Pit and garage passes during practice month at the Brickyard was fun, along with the free food & booze in the company box. You couldn’t pay me to watch F1 any other way.

        • Indeed, you couldn’t pay me to watch F1. Fullstop.

Tedium personified (whilst lining the pockets of some detestable people)

          • Yep, nice to have the competitions but this is one I definitely won’t be entering as I would be disappointed if I won!

  4. John O'Sullivan says:

Hilton related. Just spent two nights in the Double Tree Kusadasi. 12,000 points per night and very nice too. Turkey very good value at present, both from a rewards perspective and exchange rate 4.55 YNL to the pound sterling. You could fly into Istanbul dpend some time there, internal Turkish Airlines flight to Izmir then a couple of days in KusadasI,

    • Genghis says:

We went to Turkey last year and travelled around: Selcuk, Pamukkale, Cappadocia and Istanbul. What an interesting and beautiful country.

      • Curious says:

While your own trip went smoothly, surely you forgot to add the caveat ‘potentially very dangerous’ ?
“Terrorists are very likely to try to carry out attacks in Turkey.”
Of course, any decision to travel is personal, but be aware that the country is currently cheap for a reason.
