Two generous Hilton competition prizes just for UK residents

Links on Head for Points may support the site by paying a commission.  See here for all partner links.

Hilton Honors has launched a generous competition which is only for UK residents and is not being widely promoted. When they ran one of these last year, a Head for Points reader was the winner – let’s see if we can get lucky again.

In association with the McLaren-Honda Formula 1 team, Hilton Honors is giving away two great family experiences and 10 runners-up prizes via this website.

The two main prizes are worth winning:

Become the McLaren-Honda’s team mascot for the British Grand Prix

Win a family holiday in Abu Dhabi, including flights

The third prize requires you to be a bit of a Formula 1 fan:

Win 1 of 10 caps signed by Fernando Alonso and Stoffel Vandoorne

The first prize is a one night stay at the Hilton Northampton on 15th July (not, usually, very exciting) and the opportunity for one child to be the McLaren-Honda Formula 1 team mascot for the British Grand Priz on 16th July.

This does sound great if your child is a F1 fan.  The winner will be involved in:

Escorting the McLaren-Honda drivers to media engagements throughout the day
Escorting a McLaren-Honda driver to the garage before the race, helping to carry their race kit
Assisting the McLaren-Honda drivers with their pre-race preparation in the McLaren-Honda team motorhome
Various photo opportunities throughout the day
Being in the garage as both McLaren-Honda cars leave for the grid before the race
Taking a seat beside the McLaren-Honda pit crew to watch the race unfold

The second prize is a 5-night stay at the Hilton Abu Dhabi for four including flights. This prize has to be used before 1st January 2018.

You cannot choose which prize you’d like to win, which is a little unfortunate as I think they appeal to totally different markets.

To enter the prize draw you must join Hilton Honors – free – before 11th June via the form at the bottom of this page if you are not already a member.

You must be 18 years old and a legal resident of the UK.  The restriction to the UK means the chances for a HfP reader to win are quite high.

If you are already a member of Hilton Honors you can enter straight away by logging into your account at the bottom of this website. You can also find more information here about the prizes.

Links don’t appear to work yet…

  • John says:

I suppose it will be rigged as they wouldn’t want a winner who has no children of the requisite age

  • Oliver says:

So my 4 week old counts as a child. Can I be the mascot ?

  • Neil says:

Not sure if this was a Chrome thing but worked in Firefox…

  • MoNkEyMaN says:

Thanks, entered. Could be adblock blocking the link for some.

  • Jovanna says:

OT: I’m thinking of taking advantage of the Amex Emirates deal. If I book an economy ticket to Dubai on Emirates but the return flight is operated by Qantas, can I access the Emirates First Class lounge in Terminal 3 with my BA Gold card?

    • Rob says:

No. It will have an Emirates flight number too so you won’t even get any Avios or BA tier points.

  • Justin says:

A bit strange/tedious that after making a big fuss about changing their branding from “HHONORS” the site is still using the old domain for this comp and having to log back into the old site to enter.

  • Max says:

So you have to have a child. Drat. I would very much have liked to enter the comp to go to the grand prix! Does an immature housemate count?

    • Rob says:

The rules don’t actually say that …

    • pr99 says:

Would be great to see your housemate struggling to fit into a 10 years olds racing suit.

      • Mark says:

Reminds me of the ‘Only Fools & Horses’ episode where Rodney won a kids’ holiday prize.
Anyway I have entered, and I’ll cross that bridge (big) IF I win the mascot prize…
