Miles and points offers which are about to close

This week is a fairly quiet one, to be honest, before the usual end of month tsunami is upon us.  If you have a lot of hotel stays to book, remember that the last day to book the current generous Accor promotion (6,000 Avios for 3 x 2-night stays) is next Sunday.  Stays can be at any point until 31st December.

You can also get the Economist offer through the Avios and BAEC sites.

I thought the spg and Marriott deals went thought to january ?

  • John says:

I have a First Direct Visa offer for 10% off £75+ on UK Hiltons until 19 Oct

Several other decent ones on there, probably posted several weeks ago but I haven’t been paying attention

    • David says:

Do you not find the offer windows of the FD offers are far too short.

I’ve had the Hilton one previously (with a comparatively generous 12 day window), plus also Ibis with a ludicrous 6 day offer window. And those windows are assuming I happen to check the site on the day the offer opens (have suitable plans, and still have card flexibility).

The offer windows are so short that it will be pot luck for a significant number of people. Far from enticing behaviour (spending or switching of spending) this will be a needless giveaway.

      • Alan says:

I’m not sure how they compare to the Nationwide Visa offers, but I find they reach their expiry date then re-appear with a new date – certainly for the longstanding restaurant ones.

  • Nick M says:

End of Oct is also the last chance to use the £15 off £25 spend offer from Amazon when using MR points – I finally got round to using mine last night and was able to pay the balance with my gift card balance

    • Rob says:

Yes, I’ve got a full article on this diarised (but that’s not why it isn’t on the list – that is just human error!).

  • Delbert says:

Thanks for the HEX reminder, Rob. Totally forgot how we were going to get to T5 in three weeks time, so two Business First tickets now booked and await the double Avios offer to credit thereafter.

  • Shauna says:

The kids fly free offer has ended. Did they pull it early?
