EXCLUSIVE HfP COMPETITION: Win 250,000 Qmiles with Qatar Airways

Qatar Airways is running another great exclusive competition with us. This is the most generous mileage competition we have ever run.
Two lucky Head for Points readers will each win 250,000 Qmiles in the Qatar Airways Privilege Club loyalty scheme.
There are no restrictions on how you use the Qmiles. You can redeem for First Class, Business Class or Economy Class flights and to any destination you choose. You can book on Qatar Airways or on any oneworld alliance or other airline partner. You can book one big trip or a number of smaller trips (the miles are valid for three years). It is entirely up to you.
Whilst it is always difficult to value airline miles, you should easily be able to get £2,500 of value from the prize.
About Qatar Airways
Before we look at what you can get for 250,000 Qmiles, let’s remind ourselves what else Qatar Airways has been up to recently:
- In March 2017 Qatar Airways unveiled their impressive new business class Qsuite at ITB which first launched on Qatar’s Heathrow route. 15 Boeing 777 aircraft are now flying Qsuite with more being added each month.
- The airline just took delivery of its first Airbus A350-1000 aircraft which started flying from Heathrow a couple of days ago. The A350-1000 planes are being delivered with Qsuite installed from Day 1.
- Qatar Airways is gearing up to launch flights from Cardiff in May 2018
- Since June 2017 Qatar Airways has been flying from Dublin to Doha and onwards
We have reviewed Qatar Airways business class on its 777, 787 and A380 incarnations, as well as A380 First Class, and genuinely believe that it deserves its reputation as one of the very best products out there.
The new Qsuite in Business Class has set the bar even higher. Here is my report from the launch event and here is Rob’s article after he had lunch on the aircraft at Heathrow.
About Qmiles
Qatar Airways is a member of the oneworld alliance. As we always say when we write about Qatar Airways, this means that you can earn Avios points and British Airways tier points when you fly with Qatar Airways, and can also redeem Avios points for Qatar Airways services.
But Qatar Airways also has its own loyalty programme, Privilege Club, with its own currency, Qmiles. This offers an alternative for crediting flights on Qatar Airways and other oneworld airlines.
You can learn more about Qmiles and Qatar Airways Privilege Club on the Qatar Airways website here.
How far could 250,000 Qmiles take you?
The world is your oyster with 250,000 Qmiles in your pocket.
Here are just a few places you could travel with 250,000 Qmiles to spend, based on a UK departure:
- one return ticket to Singapore in Business for 150,000 Qmiles
- one return ticket to Sydney in Business for 180,000 Qmiles
- two return tickets to Delhi in Business for 2 x 110,000 Qmiles
- top up with a further 20,000 Qmiles and get three return tickets in Economy to Sydney
These prices are based on flying with Qatar Airways. However, you can also spend Qmiles on flight redemptions on British Airways or any other airline in the oneworld alliance. This could include Cathay Pacific, Qantas, American Airlines, Finnair etc. You can also redeem on other partners such as Royal Air Maroc, Middle Eastern Airlines, GOL and Bangkok Airways.
If you have a handful of miles left, you can use them to pay for your purchases at the Qatar Duty Free shop at Hamad International Airport in Doha.
Alternatively, Qmiles can be converted into Le Club AccorHotels hotel loyalty points at the rate of 4500 to 1000, with a maximum conversion of 100,000 Qmiles per year.
