Current offers on platinum: 0. You currently have no available Offers. Please try again later.

I’ve tried asking Amex why everyone else seems to get so many offers and I get very few, they don’t seem to know why just saying they are targeted.

    • Lumma says:

A couple of years ago I was in the same boat, no offers for ages despite reading about several on this site, could still email amex at this point so did, they escalated it to a formal complaint but then sent be s letter saying that it was tough luck.

They did start appearing again shortly afterwards though

  • AK says:

    OT:
I hit the 15k annual spend a few months back for the PRG but upgraded to the platinum before my PRG was due for renewal (3 months before the full first year). Just received the bonus 10k offer in my amex account despite no longer holding the PRG card. Not sure if an anomaly but if anyone still has the PRG charge card, there may be no risk in upgrading to the plat now before your membership year ends.

  • GRIMZ says:

OT, I have used the Esso offer but it is showing on my statement as Tesco, any idea if this will still track? I clicked on the offer and used the ‘find nearby locations tab’ and the Esso station I used was showing on the tab.

    • john says:

I assume it doesn’t show it with any Tesco connection on the offer tab? Probably worth waiting a few days to see if the credit appears and then contact amex if not.

    • Mark2 says:

The Esso/Tesco station that I use comes up on the statement as Tesco PFS but I still get the statement credit, although as total for a day rather than per purchase.
I have used it about 30 times now and still three weeks to go!
I was interrogated by the manager but convinced him.

      • GRIMZ says:

Ok great thanks, you must have a big stock of gift cards now?

        • Mark2 says:

You bet. I am accumulating enough to pay for petrol and spending at Waitrose for at least thee rest of this year. Also helps towards spend targets.

  • Boris says:

OT – any idea if/when BA/VS will offer seats in premium/business/first cabins at discounted redemption rates?

Seen a couple of offers in economy

    • Rob says:

Rarely happens, usually only when the economy is further down the pan than at present.

  • Chris says:

    Platinum – 37
    SPG – 3
    BA – 4
    Gold Business – 4

Mostly rubbish though. Didn’t get the Esso offer this time – guess I got too much cash back last time they ran it.

  • Alex W says:

OT. Received Gold supplementary card yesterday. No sign of 3000 bonus points yet. Do I need to spend on it? Worth chasing with Amex?

    • Genghis says:

If you were to get it you would have had it by now. No need to spend. Did you receive an official offer? If not, I wouldn’t bother chasing: you rolled the dice and your numbers didn’t come up

      • Alex W says:

Boo! Thanks for the advice Genghis.

      • GRIMZ says:

I have received a Plat sup card even though I cancelled my Gold sup card weeks ago before upgrading to Plat! Any thoughts on what to do?

        • G says:

Apply for another supp. I had the same and points turned up after the second supp

        • Tom1 says:

Be warned – ordering a supp Card (after I also had cancelled my gold supp before upgrading) triggered a £170 charge on my account. Amex refunded it (actually pro rata – not altogether) but insisted that I never cancelled the gold supp, despite me having a screenshot of the live chat when I cxd).

  • Sarah says:

I find there is a difference to the offers I see on the App and the website (less offers on the App) – although generally I have a lot less offers on my BA Amex than on my gold card.

On a separate note, you can usually get 10% off official Gatwick parking by registering and logging into My Gatwick on the Gatwick airport website. You’ll also get offers for shops and restaurants at the airport as well.

    • Sandgrounder says:

+1 I have 30 PRG offers on the mobile website, and only 1 on the app.

  • Jay says:

Some more offers that might be of note showing on my Gold card today – £5 off £50 spend at Virgin West Coast and £100 off £800 spend at Thai Airways.
