The Virgin Atlantic Winter Sale is drawing to a close.  You need to book by TONIGHT, Thursday 31st January.

Full details are on this special website.

Looking at the Upper Class deals, there are some interesting prices available.

Virgin Atlantic Winter sale

The standout deal looks like Johannesburg at £1,799.  This is available until 30th June, as long as you book 14 days in advance.

Upper Class prices out of London include:

Boston £1,898

New York £1,623

San Francisco £2,138

Barbados £1,848

Many other routes are included too.  Here is our last review of Virgin Upper Class and here is our last review of Virgin’s Clubhouse lounge in Heathrow Terminal 3.  Virgin’s official Upper Class website is here.

There are also some decent Premium Economy deals out there which will be especially interesting for anyone chasing Virgin Flying Club tier points without paying for Upper Class.  Destinations from London include:

  • New York £782
  • Boston £724
  • Washington £936
  • Miami £783
  • Los Angeles £795
  • Las Vegas £770
  • Barbados £627

On selected ‘holiday’ routes from London and Manchester, Virgin is offering a further 25% off when 2+ people travel together in Premium.  This applies to:

  • Manchester to New York, Atlanta, Boston and Los Angeles
  • London Heathrow to New York

This offer is not being promoted online at the moment but if you click ‘Terms & Conditions’ on the sale page you will see it is still active.

Economy deals are also available, starting at £275 for Miami (from London) and for Boston and New York (from London or Manchester).

Here is our review of Virgin’s new Economy Delight product, launched earlier this year, and this is why the maths says you should book it.

Travel dates and full details of what is available can be found on the Virgin Atlantic sale website here.

And money off packages ….

Package deals are available from £379 per person (three nights in New York or Boston with flights in Economy).  A potentially great deal is a seven night flight and hotel package in Barbados from £499 per person.  More ‘flight and hotel’ deals can be found on Virgin’s dedicated packages site.

Promo code SAVE50 will get you £50 per booking off any ‘flight and hotel’ package, as long as you have a minimum spend of £1,200.  It is valid for departures up to 31st March.

All of the deals in this article are scheduled to end today, 31st January.

To maximise your miles when paying, your best bet is one of the two Virgin Atlantic Reward credit cards.  These earn double miles (3 per £1 on the paid card or 1.5 per £1 on the free card) when you book at virginatlantic.com or via Virgin Holidays.

Another option is American Express Preferred Rewards Gold which offers double points – 2 per £1 – when you book flight tickets directly with an airline.
