Buy cheap Avios points via Groupon Spain, again

I wrote about this on Monday, but the deal had closed by the time the article appeared.  It seems as if it might only be running at weekends at the moment because it reappeared last night.

The Avios are not a steal at these prices, although substantially cheaper than buying Avios directly via ba.com without a special offer:

• 4,000 Iberia Plus Avios for €54 (1.2p)
• 8,000 Iberia Plus Avios for €99 (1.1p)
• 15,000 Iberia Plus Avios for €189 (1.1p)
• 20,000 Iberia Plus Avios for €249 (1.1p)
• 35,000 Iberia Plus Avios for €439 (1.1p)

Whilst these deals were administratively messy when they first appeared, I get fewer complaints these days.  The IT seems to be working better now.  Of course, all of the information is in Spanish but Chrome can translate the page for you.

You will need an Iberia Plus account to redeem your Groupon voucher, and you can then use ‘Combine My Avios’ to move them across to British Airways Executive Club.  Please remember that Iberia Plus accounts must be 90 days old before you can use ‘Combine My Avios’, so don’t open a new one specifically to take advantage of this deal.

How to earn Avios from UK credit cards (September 2023)

You should also consider the British Airways Accelerating Business credit card. This is open to sole traders as well as limited companies and has a 30,000 Avios sign-up bonus.
