Radisson Rewards launches a new points-earning partnership with Europcar

Europcar and Radisson Rewards have teamed up with a new points-earning joint venture.
When you hire a car, it is usually most profitable to credit the rental to an airline. Avios / British Airways has an exclusive deal with Avis and Budget, whilst Virgin Flying Club has a number of partners, of which Hertz is the most generous.
Most of the major car rental companies also have partnerships with hotel loyalty schemes. This is usually not as generous as crediting to an airline programme, but sometimes you don’t have much choice if your rental company does not support your main frequent flyer schemes.
This HfP article looks at which car rental companies work with which hotel programmes.
Radisson Rewards has launched a new partnership with Europcar. This adds to its existing deals with Alamo, Avis, Budget, Enterprise, National and Sixt.
You will earn 300 Radisson Rewards points per rental day if you credit a Europcar rental, up to a maximum of 1,800 Radisson Rewards points per rental.
As a launch offer, the earning rate is doubled to 600 points per day. This requires a rental of 3+ days which is completed by 31st August.
We value a Radisson Rewards point at around 0.33p so this is not exactly generous. That said, it is better than nothing if you are using Europcar anyway. (Europcar also has a Nectar partnership, so you may want to compare your earnings before deciding where to credit.)
You can find out more on this page of the Radisson website. Bookings need to be made via this special Europcar site and you cannot credit rentals from the USA, Canada, Japan, China and India.
