ENDS TUESDAY: Save up to 25% on hotels in the IHG Cyber Sale

Links on Head for Points may support the site by paying a commission.  See here for all partner links.

If you need to lock in any IHG hotels for stays before the end of May, here is your final reminder that you have two days left to book in the Winter IHG Cyber Sale.

The headline discount is up to 25% off the Best Available Rate. This is available exclusively to IHG Rewards Club members, so it’s a good time to sign up to the programme if you are one of the six HfP readers who has not already done.

These Cyber Sale offers are available at hotels across the IHG portfolio, including Kimpton, InterContinental, Crowne Plaza and Holiday Inn.

There isn’t much small print to worry about:

  • It is available for stays until 31st May 2020
  • Bookings are non-refundable and require pre-payment at time of booking

You should note that the discount is not a full 25%, because it is based on the Best Flexible Rate.  As these sale rates are non-refundable, a fairer comparison is with the usual Advance Purchase rate – but you should still see a good additional saving.

IHG is also running a 4x Bonus Points promotion that we wrote about a few weeks ago, which could earn you up to quadruple IHG Rewards Club points on a stay before 31st January 2020 (you do need to register for this offer here).

Principal Manchester

It is too late to register for the current Accelerate promotion now, as registration is closed, but as long as you have already registered for Accelerate your stays will continue to count until 31st DecemberOur article on Accelerate is here and the website is here.

As the Cyber Sale, Accelerate and the 4x Bonus Points promotions can be combined, you could end up with a good deal.  Full details of the IHG Cyber Sale can be found here.  You need to book by 17th December.

Is the Cyber Sale almost a con.
I have been looking at IC London Park Lane for 10th-12th Jan and the Cyber Sale saving over the Advance Saver rate is £2.21 p/n, hardly worth trumpeting as a major saving.( I have booked it through Emyr at Bon Vivant at a significantly better rate than the current Best Flexible rate for additional benefits)

    • Rob says:

You’d be mad not to book Park Lane (or Paris Le Grand) via Emyr, given that he gets you free lounge access!

      • Lyn says:

Or not to book the IC Madrid through Emyr since this also gives Club Lounge access. This may be the case for several other ICs booked through Emyr. In the case of Madrid, you can choose to have breakfast either in the Club Lounge or downstairs in the restaurant.

    • TGLoyalty says:

You are aware that hotel rates change pretty significantly with time and occupancy

the sale is a 25% saving on the current best flex?

Also the Park Lane lounge is closed for refurbishment in January.

I booked Crowne Plaza Antalya a week or so ago and the advance saver rate was cheaper than the Cyber Sale rate, so I booked advance saver.

I’d be interested in a brief review once you’ve been if you don’t mind. It’s a hotel that’s been on my radar for about a year but I’m not sure if it’s too corporate for a holiday.
