IAG has announced the new CEO of IAG Loyalty, which is what Avios Group is now called.
As we covered before Christmas, Andrew Crawley resigned unexpectedly to become Chief Commercial Officer of American Express Global Business Travel.
Drew will be replaced by Adam Daniels who is currently Chief Commercial Officer. He will report directly into the CEO of IAG, since Avios / IAG Loyalty is treated as a stand-alone business alongside BA, Iberia, Vueling, IAG Cargo, Aer Lingus etc.
Daniels is another IAG lifer, who originally joined British Airways as a graduate trainee in 1992. It is notable that Avios / BA Miles / IAG Loyalty has historically always hired an ‘airline person’ from inside the group rather than a ‘loyalty person’ from another company.
