  Data point – This offer appeared on my husband’s BAPP which is the primary one, but not on my supplemental card so it might only be available to the primary card holder, or targeted in some way.

    I am the primary card holder. Husband has a supplementary card and does not have this offer. Guess who does all of our Tesco shopping. I can’t as I am high risk and don’t presently go out.

        As long as he spends under £45 he can do contactless so no need to know the pin (although a contactless transaction does occasionally require pin entry as a security measure) though it really isn’t that advisable to give anyone else (even your spouse) your pin and card.

        Aston100 You actually are “Not” allowed to give anyone your card & pin invalidates all card insurance Yes i know it happens My Partner, plus Son, Daughters use my card for HH
        But once came unstuck almost Card Lost/Stolen at a gig or to/from.
        Card stopped but i was held responsible for any loss (couldn’t very well say i lost it i was out of uk)
        That was long while ago changed bank (one of many i had)
        That’s when i went over to Amex

          This is why your details need to be initial plus surname on the card, no Mr, Mrs etc (annoyingly AmEx won’t accept Dr as a designation!). Then nobody will question who’s using it.

      Long story as to why but my wife currently has the Tesco delivery saver subscription yet we use my Tesco debit card to pay

  If the offer is saved to the primary card do purchases made by the secondary card holder also qualify for the bonus points?

    Not unless they get the same offer to load on their cards. I got the offer but neither supplementary cards did.

  The offer doesn’t appear on my wife’s supplementary card either and it’s her card saved into the Waitrose website for online purchases, annoyingly. It’s particularly irritating that this offer doesn’t appear on the supplementary card as it looks from a quick glance as if all the other offers (which we would never use) appear on both cards. Is there anyone at Amex whom we could lobby about this? It looks as if it applies generally, not just to me.

    Can you change the credit card number to yours on the website? Does saving your card details prevent you using a different card on checkout?

    That is certainly not promising – I’ve just ordered a supplementary card for my mum, since she shops at M&S and Tesco, and only just realised that the offers on the supplementary card are different to my main card. Since she will regularly use the card at these stores, I bet she never gets the offer

  Regarding the Malaysia Airlines prize entry.
  You’ve stated: “The winner will get two return Business Class flights with Malaysia Airlines from Heathrow to Langkawi, for travel at almost any point in 2021. A few black-out dates do apply.”

  However, the T&Cs seem to exclude all school holiday periods. So that’s at least a quarter of next year ruled out surely?

  “The validity of the ticket will be as per the prize winner’s letter, i.e. one year in 2021 avoiding Easter, Summer Peak season, Christmas & New Year and half term school holidays.”

      Not just teachers but anyone employed in a school or further education; parents of school aged kids will include nurses, care workers. Basically anyone we have applauded in the last 12 weeks yet MH specifically exclude them

      Nice to see Malaysian have their finger on the zeitgeist.

      You would think that given the convulsions in the industry they would have worked to ensure their PR stunt wouldn’t back fire.

      I won’t enter, nor will I use MH. Shameful

          The points was not about who misses out, though they are many, it was about an airline not Being able to see that their promotion deliberately excludes a great many people deliberately or otherwise, who the country has specifically said it values over the last 3 months. Or was that a stunt also

  I pay most of my monthly bills at Tesco via Paypoint using AMEX – Rent, C Tax, Water Bills – this will be an added bonus with 3.5x avios.

  Surprise, surprise! No offer for me and no e-mail either. I never seem to get any offers from Amex. Oh to have such a long list of offers that I have to click “See more” to see them all!. I also never receive any e-mails apart from the admin ones. I updated my e-mail preferences a long time ago so that I receive all marketing but to no avail. I spend a fair amount on the card every month so would think I’m due a few offers. Does anyone know what rationale they use in selecting customers for offers and if there’s anything I can do to get them and has anyone managed to get this offer without it showing on their account, or having the e-mail?

  Anyone had any of their 2-extra-points post yet? I know it says up to 90 days, but AMEX is usually pretty good at the “within 5 days” normally.
