Today, we are excited to launch a fantastic competition to win a luxury trip for two to Malaysia courtesy of Malaysia Airlines and One&Only Resorts.

It is a fantastic prize that will give the winner and a friend something special to look forward to in 2021.

Malaysia Airlines is generously offering a pair of business class flights to Malaysia from London Heathrow for one lucky reader. The winner will also be able to experience an ultra-luxury three-night, stay at the brand new One&Only resort at Desaru Coast.

One&Only Desaru Coast

The winner of this brilliant prize will fly to Johor International Airport via Kuala Lumpur, enabling them to be in close reach of One&Only Desaru Coast, but also giving them the opportunity to explore the southern region of Malaysia. There is plenty to see such as the Endau-Rompin National Park, home to the Malayan tiger, and the east coast islands of the Seribuat Archipelago, including picture-perfect Tioman.

Three nights in the newest jewel of the One&Only resorts crown, One&Only Desaru Coast, will give the lucky winner the chance to relax in total luxury. Take a look at the website here.

How to enter

We’ve kept it very straightforward.

You can have up three entries per person.

You get your first entry by filling out the Gleam app at the bottom of this article (or by clicking through to the Gleam website here if it doesn’t show on your device) and giving us your name, email address and (purely for validation purposes if you win) date of birth.  That’s it.

You will get an optional second entry to the competition if you sign up to Malaysia Airlines’ newsletter.  As well as doubling your chances of winning, signing up to the Malaysia Airlines email list means that you’ll be one of the first to hear about Malaysia Airlines’ latest sales and best available fares.  To get the second entry, simply tick the relevant box on the entry form to sign up to their newsletter.  You can unsubscribe at any time.

Finally, if you fancy tripling your chances, follow the instructions on the competition page to get an easy optional third entry if you visit the new Malaysia Airlines Instagram page especially for the UK.

Prize terms and conditions

There are some restrictions on how and where you can go.  See the terms and conditions (click on the link in the entry form) for the full list of rules – these are just the key parts and the official rules take precedence over this summary:

The prize entitles the winner and one other person travelling together on return Business Class tickets with Malaysia Airlines from London Heathrow to Johor International Airport via Kuala Lumpur, inclusive of taxes and charges.

Travel dates past the specified redemption dates will be re-assessed if country travel restrictions are extended past this window

The accommodation at One&Only Desaru Coast will be subject to availability at time of booking, the resort will confirm when request is received.

Entry is open to aged 18 years and over and must be a UK resident

The prize is non-transferable and no cash alternative is available

The winners will be notified by email within 7 days of closing. If the prize is unclaimed by the initial winners drawn within fourteen days (14) days, no further draws will take place.

You say name and email only, but you are asking for date of birth.

Why is this and what is done with this data?

    • Zoe says:

I’m guessing it ensures the winner is over 18 and is matched with passport details preventing multiple entries?

    • Rob says:

Malaysia wanted it including. I assume nothing is done with it, except to validate that the winner is the person who is ticketed.

We delete all the entry data once the competition is over and the winner confirmed.

  • Nick says:

Many thanks for snagging another great business class ticket competition Rob, unlike the vast majority of such competitions that you see from other organisations It’s of course much more reflective of your readership.

  • Stuart says:

  • DANi says:

Not happy to supply date of birth ..

    Shame

  • Darren says:

Lol, still on my first cup of coffee of the day but I don’t believe that having 2 or 3 entries doubles or triples my chance of winning.
Let’s say 100,000 enter , oh will this not be 200,000 ( if we all double or chances , lol ) , or perhaps if we all triple or chance ( Lol ) there may be 300,000 entries. Let’s assume the middle ground. There’s a possibility to have 1 , 2 , or 3 entries in 200,000. Each entry remains with an equal chance of 1 in 199,999.
It’s early, but I hope you get my point

    • Toby says:

      ?

Regardless of the total amount of entries in the draw, if you 3 entries v 1 Entry your chances of winning are three times as high.

Your assumption relies on the the fact that everyone takes up all three entry routes.

(For example I’ve chosen to only use two routes of entry….)

  • Michael C says:

Seriously, Rob – this is the FIFTH Gleam competition I’ve entered, and I’ve yet to win a single one…..just sayin’……. ;o)

  • Sinead says:

We capture D.O.B to ensure entrants are over 18. However, I have added a note to the terms and conditions to clarify this and to state that D.O.B. data will be destroyed after successfully drawing a winner.

  • GeoffT says:

Curious given that Malaysia is currently closed to UK citizens
